Dr. Louis Burgio, distinguished research professor in psychology and director of the Center for Mental Health and Aging at The University of Alabama, has been selected this year’s recipient of the M. Powell Lawton award, one of the highest awards given nationally for outstanding contributions in the area of mentorship and innovations in applied gerontology.
Dr. James Otteson, chair of the philosophy department at The University of Alabama, will be awarded the seventh in a series of prizes from the Fund for the Study of Spontaneous Orders at the Atlas Economic Research Foundation.
