UA School of Law and Skadden Law Firm Honor Farmworker Activist with 2007 Morris Dees Justice Award

Arthur N. Read, general counsel for Friends of Farmworkers, Inc., a legal services provider in Philadelphia, has been awarded the 2007 Morris Dees Justice Award, given by Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates and The University of Alabama School of Law. Morris Dees will present the award during a reception at Skadden’s offices in New York on Nov. 15.

2007 UA Homecoming Queen Announced

A total of 262 students enrolled during the summer 2007 semester at The University of Alabama made the Dean’s List with academic records of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale), or the President’s List with academic records of 4.0 (all As).
