Julissa Arce came to the United States from Mexico at age 11 and was undocumented for almost 15 years before becoming a U.S. citizen in August 2014. During that time, she built a successful career on Wall Street, and now serves as an advocate for immigrant rights and education.
UA Suspends Normal Operations Tonight Due to Threatening Weather
The University of Alabama will suspend normal operations from 6:30 p.m. until midnight due to the threat of severe weather. Classes and campus activities scheduled during this time are canceled. Campus libraries will close at 6:30 p.m. and reopen tomorrow at 7:30 a.m., except for Rodgers Library for Science and Engineering which will reopen at midnight tonight.
