2007 UA Capstone Convocation Welcomes New Students

Incoming students at The University of Alabama will have a chance to celebrate the beginning of their college careers in an inspiring occasion during the 2007 Capstone Convocation on Tuesday, Aug. 21 beginning at 7 p.m. in Coleman Coliseum.

UA Ranked in Top 10 Percent by U.S. News

The University of Alabama is again ranked among the top 50 public universities in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report’s annual rankings for 2008. UA is ranked 42nd among public national universities and 91st among all universities, both public and private.

ILA Named Executive Director of Alabama EPSCoR

UA Receives $2 Million Gift from EBSCO Industries Inc.

Birmingham-based EBSCO Industries Inc. has made a $2 million gift to The University of Alabama’s “Our Students. Our Future.” capital campaign. The gift will be divided between UA’s Libraries and the Honors College.

Miller Named Executive Director of UA Crimson Care

Melanie Miller, a staff member and administrator with a background in counseling and social work, has been named executive director of Crimson Care in the Division of Student Affairs at The University of Alabama.
