The University of Alabama’s Crossroads Community Center is hosting a photography exhibit, reception and lecture featuring Jose Galvez, a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist. The exhibit will be in the Ferguson Student Center Art Gallery.

UA Sales Program Hosts Career Fair to Connect Students with Employers

The University of Alabama Sales Program will host a sales and marketing career fair from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the Ferguson Center’s third floor ballroom. “Connect 2014” will feature recruiters representing more than 35 companies — including Belk, AT&T and Frito-Lay — that are hiring for full time jobs and internships.

UA UnlockED Offers Screening of Documentary on Education

UA UnlockED, a student-run organization at The University of Alabama dedicated to improving educational equality, will host a documentary screening at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, in 120 Lloyd Hall on campus. The event is free and open to the public. The featured film will be “Waiting for ‘Superman,’” which analyzes the failures of the American public education system by following the journey of several students striving to be accepted into a charter school.

Dean’s List Students Named for UA Summer 2014 Term

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – A total of 404 students enrolled during the 2014 summer semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean’s List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President’s List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s). The UA Dean’s and President’s lists recognizes full-time undergraduate students.
