Local UA Student Named Finalist in International Design Competition

Tara Jackson, a senior at The University of Alabama and a native of Tuscaloosa, was recently named a finalist in the International Textile and Apparel Association Design Contest. She is a double major in apparel design and fashion retailing in the UA College of Human Environmental Sciences.

UA to Break Ground for Student Pavilion on Nov. 30

The University of Alabama will break ground for a pavilion designed for student activities in an 11 a.m. ceremony, Friday, Nov. 30. The new building will be located adjacent to the Presidential Pavilion on McCorvey Drive on the UA campus.
