Students, Teachers Participate in Chemistry Summer Program at UA

The 2004 Summer Undergraduate Research Participation (SURP) Program in the chemistry department at The University of Alabama gives students an individual project to work on for 10 weeks with UA faculty, staff and graduate students. The National Science Foundation and the UA chemistry department sponsor this program.

A total of 3,369 students enrolled during the spring 2004 term at The University of Alabama made the Dean’s List with academic records of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or above, or the President’s List with academic records of 4.0, announced Dr. Judy Bonner, UA provost and vice president for academic affairs.

UA Gallery Features Works of Art from the Permanent Collection

The Sarah Moody Gallery of Art on The University of Alabama campus will feature recent acquisitions to the permanent collection in the exhibition “Floored: Selections from the Permanent Collection.” The exhibition will open July 9 and run through Aug. 13.
