The University of Alabama is again ranked among the top 50 public universities in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report’s annual rankings for 2008. UA is ranked 42nd among public national universities and 91st among all universities, both public and private.

Two years ago this month, Christopher Culbert was walking across a stage at Vestavia Hills in Birmingham to pick up his high school diploma. The University of Alabama School of Law is ranked 15th among public law schools and 36th among all law schools in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report’s 2008 edition of its annual “Best Graduate Schools” publication.
