UA Offers ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ Essay Contest to Students in High School

The University of Alabama College of Communication and Information Sciences is hosting the 13th annual “To Kill A Mockingbird” Essay Contest. Every high school in Alabama is invited to participate in the contest. Participating high schools should provide students with the essay prompt and choose a winning entry. The College will give the winner from each high school a monetary prize. Those winners should be submitted to the College by Friday, Nov. 20. They will be invited to a luncheon in February 2016. The statewide winner will be selected by the College and awarded $500. An additional $500 award will go to that student’s school.
