The University of Alabama National Alumni Association has announced the 2018 recipients of the University’s highest honor for excellence in teaching – the Outstanding Commitment to Teaching Awards.
The University of Alabama’s Homecoming Parade will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, followed later that day by the Alabama-Missouri football game, which kicks off at 6 p.m.
The 25th annual Beat Auburn, Beat Hunger food drive kicks off Monday, Oct. 1, at The University of Alabama and runs through Nov. 15. The drive collects food donations for the West Alabama Food Bank.
“A Community Without Borders” is the theme for the 2018 Hispanic Latino Heritage Month at The University of Alabama. Highlights for the event, which ends Oct. 16, includes lectures, campus dialogues and activities.
The 2018 Paul W. Bryant Alumni-Athlete Award recipients are Bob Baumhower and Eddie N. Lowe. The recipients were honored Sept. 8 at the Alabama vs Arkansas State game.
