
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Allison Montgomery, a senior biology major from Talladega, was announced as The University of Alabama’s 2014 Homecoming Queen at the bonfire and pep rally Friday, Nov. 21, on the UA Quad.
Tri Delta sponsored her. Her achievements include president of Hypatia Chapter of Mortar Board, chief justice of the University-Wide Academic Honor Council, participation in the Blackburn Institute and SGA vice president of academic affairs.
Some 8,188 votes were cast in this year’s Homecoming Queen election Nov. 18. Students voted online.
The queen will be crowned at halftime of the homecoming football game between UA and Western Carolina. The game begins at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
