TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Lekisha Rachel Gunn of Montgomery, a student at The University of Alabama, has been named a 2007-2008 DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship recipient.
Gunn, a German major at UA, is one of only 54 undergraduate students from the United States and Canada to be selected by a panel of experts in higher education to receive the award.
The DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship program is aimed at students who want to spend part of their third or fourth year of college in Germany. The recipients stay anywhere from a semester to a full academic year, either to study, for internships, or senior thesis research.
As a DAAD Undergraduate Scholar, Gunn plans to study at the University of Mannheim during the 2008 spring semester.
