UA Students Participate in Cooperative Education Program

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Cooperative Education Program is an academic program in which a student alternates periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment with professionals in their field.

In the program, students learn important career-related skills that enhance employment prospects after graduation.

The following UA students are among those participating in cooperative education positions:

Jonathan Rasmussen of Centre is working for Saiia Construction; he is a civil engineering major.

Jared Havens of Hoover is working for BE&K; he is a mechanical engineering major.

Justin Reeves of Gulf Shores is working for Hunt Refining; he is a mechanical engineering major.

Kelly Cannon of Seven Hills, Ohio, is working for Southern Company; she is a mechanical engineering major.

Alex Fowler of Traverse City, Mich., is working for Mercedes-Benz; he is an operations management major.

Ryan Junkin of Reform is working for Nucor Steel Tuscaloosa; he is a mechanical engineering major.

Matthew Naylor of Addison is working for Saiia Construction; he is a civil/construction engineering major.

Mark J. Adams of Vestavia is working for Saiia Construction; he is construction engineering major.
