Opinion: School bus belt study worthwhile

…That’s why every Alabamian should applaud an effort by state education and transportation officials to study the effects of seat belt usage on school buses over the next three years. The $1.4 million study will be conducted by the University of Alabama…This study is a good alternative. If it helps to decide the issue of whether seat belts improve safety on school buses, it will be well worth the state’s investment…

UA Students Take Part in Alabama Action

These University of Alabama honors students are focused on improving an elementary school in Tuscaloosa County.
