Summer Enrollment Up at UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Summer enrollment at The University of Alabama reached a record high this year totaling 9,080 students, up 4.6 percent over last year’s 8,682.

Some 6,909 students enrolled in undergraduate courses, and 2,171 enrolled in graduate programs at the Capstone this summer.

“We are pleased that more students are discovering the quality courses we offer in the summer and are taking advantage of them,” said UA Registrar Roger Thompson.

As at most traditional universities, summer enrollment at UA is always lower than enrollment during the academic year. Total enrollment for fall 2000 was 19,307.
