Adam Knowlden

Associate Professor

Dr. Adam P. Knowlden is an associate professor of health science and director of the SLUMBRx Lab. Knowlden’s research focuses on the prevention of adiposity and sleep-associated cardiometabolic disease risk factors. In 2019, he was awarded a National Institutes of Health grant through the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute to initiate the SLUMBRx (Short Sleep Undermines Cardiometabolic Health) Study. Knowlden earned his master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Cincinnati. He received his MBA from Franklin University while employed as a legislative analyst for the Columbus City Council in Ohio. Knowlden is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist® registered by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.
