TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Mike Reiss, an executive producer of the hit television comedy “The Simpsons,” will be at The University of Alabama on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Ballroom to speak to interested students.
His presentation, “How to Write for TV (And Other Bad Ideas),” will include never-before-seen footage of “The Simpsons,” as well as tips on how to break into the animation and entertainment industries.
Reiss is the creator of “The Critic” and has produced such shows as “ALF,” “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” and “The Garry Shandling Show.” During the presentation there will be a question-and-answer session, and audience members will have a chance to meet Reiss immediately afterwards.
The presentation is open to all students. Admission is free.
