Campus leaders today announced an organizational realignment that transitions reporting for campus finance and business operations and the Office of Information Technology into the Division of Finance and Operations, effective Nov. 1.
With the realignment, college and unit finance and business officers and related staff will report through to the Office of Finance while maintaining a dotted-line reporting relationship to their vice presidents, deans or other current leaders. OIT will also join Finance and Operations.
“This structural change positions the University to create an aligned business operating model to enhance our impact, position us for a stronger future, and to better support our core education, research, and service missions,” said UA President Peter Mohler. “The University’s scale and recent successes require an administrative model that aligns with peer institutions and supports greater agility and competitiveness.”
Employees affected by the change will remain in their current locations and will continue to perform much of the same work supporting their colleges and divisions. The realignment will result in more coordinated business operations across all units.
The reorganization is expected to deliver consistent financial processes and practices, centralized support, and improved access to integrated data and tools that support faster, data-driven decision-making.
