Spring break is coming, and that means adjusted hours for some campus buildings and operations. Here is what is open and when on campus during the break.
Art Galleries
All art galleries will be closed for the entire week of spring break and will reopen on March 17.
Bama Dining
Select Bama Dining locations will be open the following dates and times:
Starbucks University
- March 8-13: 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
- March 14-15: 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
- March 16: 6:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
Starbucks Bryant
- March 15: 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
- March 16: 6:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
Dunkin’ Donuts
- March 16: 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
Lakeside Dining
- March 16: 10:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
Mary B’s
- March 16: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Julia’s Market
- March 16: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Raising Canes
- March 16: 4-11 p.m.
Additionally, all unmanned markets on campus will remain open throughout spring break. Visit the Bama Dining website for the most up-to-date information on hours and operations.
Campus Mail
Campus mail services will be closed Monday, March 10, through Friday, March 14, following the UA spring break schedule. Additionally, note these changes:
Departmental Mail
All outgoing mail must be received by campus mail no later than 2 p.m. on Friday, March 7, to go out before the break. Normal operations will resume on Monday, March 17, at 8 a.m.
Passports
The Passport Acceptance Facility will close at noon on Friday, March 7, to ensure all passports received are executed and shipped before the break. Normal operations will resume on Monday, March 17, at 9 a.m.
Student Mail Center and Retail Shipping Station
On Friday, March 7, retail sales of stamps, outgoing shipping services, and shipping supplies will stop at noon, though package and mail pick-up will be available through 5 p.m. Normal operations will resume on Monday, March 17, at 8 a.m.
Counseling Center
The Counseling Center will be closed for spring break and will reopen at 8 a.m. on March 17. However, the on-call counselor remains available to students for crisis/emergency 24/7, 365 days a year. To reach the on-call counselor during spring break, students can call UAPD at 205-348-5454 and ask to speak with the on-call counselor.
Crimson Concierge
Crimson Concierge service ends on Friday, March 7, at 5 p.m., and resumes on Monday, March 17, at 8 a.m.
Crimson Ride
Crimson Ride will provide campus/apartment service until 9 p.m. on Friday, March 7. There will be no Crimson Ride service during spring break. Regular campus and apartment routes will resume on Monday, March 17, at 7 a.m.
Fleet and Automotive Services
Fleet services and automotive services will be closed during spring break. Anyone with fleet or automotive emergencies should call UAPD at 205-348-5454.
IT Service Desk
The IT Service Desk phone hotline will remain open 24/7 throughout the break.
Parking
Residential students may leave their vehicles in the area they are zoned. Overnight parking is not allowed in the commuter zones. Commuter students who need to leave their vehicles on campus over spring break should contact Parking Services at uapark@ua.edu.
Residence Halls
All residence halls remain open for spring break. Residents who are on campus during this time can reach a staff member 24/7 by calling their 24-hour desk for assistance.
Student Center
The Student Center is closed for spring break. It will reopen at 7 a.m. on Monday, March 17 (having closed at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 7).
Student Health Center and Pharmacy
The UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 7, and will reopen at 8 a.m. on March 17.
The Supe Store
The Student Center and Town Center locations of the Supe Store will be closed during spring break.
The Corner Store location will be open the following days and hours:
- March 8: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- March 14: 1-5:30 p.m.
- March 15: 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
University Libraries
On Friday, March 7, University Libraries closes early at 5 p.m., and all facilities are closed Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9.
Gorgas and Rodgers libraries are open March 10-14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
All facilities are closed on March 15, but resume normal hours on Sunday, March 16, at 11 a.m.

University Medical Center
University Medical Center in Tuscaloosa will be open Monday, March 10, through Friday, March 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
University Museums
The Gorgas House Museum will be closed March 8-17.
The Alabama Museum of Natural History will close at 4:30 p.m. on March 7 and reopen at 10:00 a.m. on March 17.
The Paul W. Bryant Museum will be open regular operating hours of 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Moundville Archaeological Park will be open with regular operating hours during spring break.
