The UA Employee Service Recognition Celebration is an annual summer highlight on campus. Faculty and staff gather with friends at Bryant Conference Center to mark, in five-year increments, their employment anniversaries.
This year, hundreds of employees celebrated service milestones from 5 to 45 years. While in some ways the University has changed over the years, the community enjoyed with co-workers has not.
“In my 20 years at The University of Alabama, the biggest change I’ve experienced is the incredible growth in enrollment and resources, which greatly enriches the experiences of students, faculty, and staff inside and outside the classroom.” Darrell Hargreaves, associate director of facility operations for University Recreation, 20 years of service
“On several different teams over the years, I have always enjoyed talented co-workers who are enthusiastic about pulling together to create a first-rate experience for students. My work experience has been rich and rewarding, and my colleagues have everything to do with that!” Dr. Jennifer Roth-Burnette, director of Learning Commons for the Capstone Center for Student Success, 15 years of service
