The University of Alabama will resume normal operations at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, thanks to the efforts of many department staff, including Facilities & Grounds, Transportation Services, Construction Administration and UAPD, among others, who worked tirelessly to protect the campus infrastructure, systems, roadways and sidewalks.
Classes will resume on the regular schedule. Campus offices, bus services, libraries, recreation centers and medical centers will all open and operate as normal, as will the Gadsden campus.
Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing during the morning hours. Pedestrians should remain cautious as small pockets of ice may be present in shaded areas. Commuters from more heavily affected areas of the region should monitor road conditions and use discretion before traveling. Those who cannot commute to campus safely should contact their supervisors or professors directly.
