Officers from The University of Alabama Police Department will meet the public during National Night Out, Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Snow Hinton Park.
The annual event promotes partnerships and helps strengthen relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve. Community members will have the opportunity to learn about law enforcement agencies, ask questions of police officers, and see police and fire equipment. Participants can play games and enjoy a variety of food from several food trucks.
In addition to UAPD, officials from the Tuscaloosa and Northport Police Departments, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue, Northport Fire Rescue, the Tuscaloosa County Emergency Management Agency, as well as other Tuscaloosa area service organizations will be at the event.
