  • September 10th, 2020

UA has launched a clinic that offers mental health services and various wellness resources exclusively for University employees and their families.

Services provided by the UA Faculty Staff Wellness Clinic, part of University Medical Center, include mental health care; therapy; grief and bereavement services; disability services’ assessments (i.e. ADHD); and substance abuse therapy and prevention.

Visits are covered by medical insurance offered through UA benefits and might also be covered by other insurance plans.

The UA Faculty Staff Wellness Clinic is currently accepting appointments for telehealth visits. To schedule an appointment, call 205-348-1471 or email umcbehavioralhealth@ua.edu.

The clinic staff hope to add services in the future for stress management, work-life balance, eldercare, UA incident worksite counseling, and classes for parenting skills, financial wellness and yoga.
