Preventing the spread of coronavirus on campus this year will be just as important as acing an exam or preparing to instruct a fascinating lesson.

And while the task is large, it can be achieved if every member of the campus community does their part to STOMP COVID-19.
S – Sanitize your hands frequently by using soap and water, or using hand sanitizer dispensers. More than 300 hand sanitizer stations have been placed in buildings across campus.
T – Track your symptoms via Healthcheck. All members of the campus community are required to take the 30-second assessment daily.
O – Observe social distancing. Staying 6 feet away from others reduces person-to-person transmission of the virus. While classrooms and buildings will have markers to denote the appropriate distance, it’s important to keep a safe distance when moving around on and off campus.
M – Mask up when indoors or near others. Wearing a mask helps prevent the spread of coronavirus and other germs. Masks are required in all campus buildings.
P – Plan to stay home when sick. If you test positive for COVID-19, you must stay home and follow UA’s isolation protocol before returning to the campus community. If you experience any symptoms of COVID-19, seek appropriate medical attention.
It’s vital for all students, faculty and staff to embrace the challenge and put these practices to use as we roll over COVID-19!
