Yea or nay on impeachment: USA TODAY Opinion contributors take sides
Visalia Times Delta – Dec. 17
Would you take to trial a case you could never win — even if you could prove the suspect was guilty beyond a doubt? That is the dilemma facing the House.  The Republican leadership has already declared that the fix is in. Inevitably, the murderers were exonerated — even congratulated. Joyce White Vance is a former U.S. attorney in the Northern District of Alabama and a law professor at the University of Alabama School of Law.

UC San Diego Neurobiologist Part of $2M Project to Study Brain, Motor-Skill Learning
HPC Wire – Dec. 16

Despite massive investment in recent years, humanity’s knowledge of the brain, which has about 86 billion neurons and more than a quadrillion synapses (or connections), is relatively limited. Co-principal investigators (in alphabetical order) also include Claudia Mewes, associate professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Alabama.
