Creativity, Resourcefulness Hit the Runway at Tee Time Fashion Show April 19, 2018 Written by Bryant Welbourne 1 min read TwitterFacebookLinkedInEmail Apparel and design students from The University of Alabama’s College of Human Environmental Sciences showcased their creativity at the Tee Time Fashion Show on April 17. Students were asked to create one or two looks that focus on sustainable design. All designed pieces were made out of repurposed materials. “This is an opportunity for the students to show their designs in public and go through the production of a fashion show,” said Brian Taylor, an apparel and design instructor. The annual event focuses on sustainability and is held near Green Week and Earth Day celebrations. “Tee Time is an annual opportunity for students in the apparel design program to experience showing their work for the first time,” said faculty member Paula Robinson. Repurposed materials were provided by Campus Collection. Tee Time was held on the lawn of Doster Hall. “The event not only allows students to present their work, but gives them the opportunity to design outside of the box,” said faculty member Paula Robinson.
