Sleep More, Stress Less and Earn WellBAMA Rewards

The last qualifying WellBAMA program of 2017 begins Oct. 31, but there’s still time to sign up. Sleep More, Stress Less is a free, three-week challenge geared toward improving mental health through sleep changes and stress reduction.

When you register you will select one of two orientation sessions offered: Oct. 31 from 2-3 p.m., or Nov. 1 from 1-2 p.m. Both sessions will occur in 205 Gorgas.

You will also select two of the following program sessions:

  • Super Sleep Secrets
  • Relaxation Techniques
  • Don’t Stress Your Sleep
  • Eat Your Way to Sleep and Less Stress

You will receive a helpful participant guide at the orientation session to help you reach your goal of sleeping more and stressing less. You will also keep a daily sleep and stress journal throughout the three-week period recording various stressors and overall stress daily; learn alternative techniques used to manage stress; track daily number of hours of sleep; and identify healthy practices used to increase and improve sleep and stress habits.

As a supplement to the Sleep More, Stress Less program, you may attend some of the free faculty and staff wellness yoga classes offered on campus.

If you are unable to attend a session for which you are registered, one session may be substituted by viewing a video recording made available to you following the live session. A link to your missed session will be emailed to you for viewing along with a short quiz. You must complete the orientation session and program sessions in order to receive credit toward your WellBAMA Rewards.

WellBAMA programs are tailored to UA faculty and staff. By completing one qualifying program such as Sleep More, Stress Less; one group information session and one WellBAMA health screening, participants earn WellBAMA monetary rewards as well as better health and quality of life.
