Big Al was honored to take part in a Transfer of Heritage and Retirement Ceremony for the U.S. Air Force Aircraft Tail Number 85-0042 known as “Roll Tide.” The “Roll TIde” has served the 908th Airlift Wing based at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery. The heritage, along with University of Alabama memorabilia, and nose art was transferred from 85-0042 to aircraft 89-1188, which now becomes the new “Roll Tide.”
