TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama has been named one of the 2015 Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs at Research Institutions by the American College Personnel Association and Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.
UA is one of 14 institutions nationwide named to the list, which was based on a study conducted by the Center for Higher Education Enterprise at The Ohio State University.

With a focus on workplace diversity, staffing practices and work environment, the CHEE research team used a web-based survey approach to examine categories such as family friendliness, salary/benefits and professional development opportunities, among others.
Other institutions on the list include the College of William and Mary, Florida State University, Northwestern University, Ohio University, Ohio State University, the University of Mississippi, the University of Vermont and the University of Miami.
Also listed were Saint Louis University, Sam Houston State University, Stony Brook University, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Only ACPA member institutions were included in the study.
