ANNOUNCEMENTS
You must pay and confirm your enrollment by Aug. 7 or your Fall Semester 2015 schedule will be canceled. After that date, you will have to re-enroll in available classes.
The Student Government Association is accepting applications for this football season’s student-organization seating. Individual students may apply for membership on the board of governors, a group of students who will work to assign seating in the organization section. The deadline to apply for the board of governors is Aug. 21.
Organizations may apply for reserved seats in the section reserved for student organizations. The deadline to apply is Aug 27. For more information and applications, visit http://sga.ua.edu. Submit questions to student@sga.ua.edu.
Enrollment in UA’s voluntary Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan will be held July 27-Aug. 26. Students may select coverage for Fall Semester 2015 (Aug. 1-Dec. 31) or for the annual coverage period (Aug. 1, 2015-July 31, 2016). United Healthcare Student Resources administers the plan.
Domestic undergraduates and graduate students should go to https://www.uhcsr.com/ua for enrollment information.
UA graduate assistants, fellowships, internationals and English Language Institute students should not enroll at UHCSR’s Web page. Instead, they should watch for a special letter or a special e-mail to their Crimson e-mail accounts from their supervising UA departments with instructions on how to enroll in the Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan for coverage this fall through The University of Alabama
For more information, visit http://shc.ua.edu/insurance before August 2015.
Since the Affordable Care Act of 2010 requires everyone to have health insurance, the Student Health Center advises students to compare UA’s student health plan underwritten by UHCSR with their parents’ health plans or other health plans, co-pays, deductibles and premiums before decide which plan to enroll in.
