UA Honors College Students Look at Civil Rights Movement in Tuscaloosa

Twelve students from classes in The University of Alabama’s Honors College will present research on the civil rights movement in Tuscaloosa during an event at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in 205 Gorgas Library.

‘Tide Together: Celebrating the Capstone Spirit’ Theme of UA’s 2014 Homecoming

UA’s Bama Dining to Offer Free Starbucks, Discounts to Veterans, Service Members

The University of Alabama’s Bama Dining is showing its gratitude for veterans and active duty military personnel this Veterans Day. On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Bama Dining is inviting all veterans and current service members to start their days with a free tall coffee from Starbucks. In addition, Burke Dining Hall will have a $5 special for its nine-station buffet all day.

UA to Host Tuscaloosa Area Drug Summit

The first Tuscaloosa drug summit will be held from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the Sellers Auditorium in the Bryant Conference Center on The University of Alabama campus. “Engage in Tuscaloosa: Envisioning Drug Education for Al” will be hosted by UA in partnership with the Parent Resource Institute for Drug Education, Stillman College, Shelton State Community College and the Tuscaloosa County district attorney’s office. The summit is free and open to the public.
