UA’s Paul W. Bryant Museum Offers Free Admission to Active Military, Families

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama’s Paul W. Bryant Museum is honoring active duty military personnel and their families by participating in a program that offers free admission to the museum through Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1.

The Bryant Museum is one of some 2000 museums nationwide that are participating in the Blue Star Museums program. The program, now in its third year, is a collaborative effort among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families and the U.S. Department of Defense to provide military families with an opportunity to visit museums this summer, when many will have limited resources and limited time to be together

Free admission to the Bryant Museum is available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention common access card, a DD Form 1173 ID card or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card. Included are active duty U.S. military and members of the National Guard and Reserve, U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and NOAA Commissioned Corps, as well as up to five family members per card bearer.
