UA’s Student Affairs Honors Seniors in Leadership Society

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama’s Division of Student Affairs inducted members of the first Student Affairs Leadership Society at a recent ceremony.

The Student Affairs Leadership Society recognizes outstanding graduating seniors who have been an integral part of the division. Student Affairs staff members chose graduating seniors for the honor based on their contributions to the division’s programs.

The 2014 senior inductees are: Jessie Ashton, a kinesiology major from Laguna Niguel, Calif.; Alison Beasley, a communication studies major from Mobile; Savannah Bernal, a secondary education-English language arts major from Enterprise; Joshua Davis, a psychology major from Daphne; Monica Edwards, a criminal justice major from Marion; Brianca Hardy, a communication studies major from Prattville; Bria Harper, an African American studies and English major from Birmingham; Jennifer Hodnett, a human environmental sciences major from Bozeman, Mont.; Zack Morris, a mechanical engineering major from Hoover; Chloe Smith, a biology major from Nederland, Texas; and Phillip Sullivan, a consumer sciences major from Madison.

The Division of Student Affairs at The University of Alabama provides guidance, support services and a variety of programs and activities designed to maximize student learning. The focus of Student Affairs is on individual students and their education. The division seeks to provide transformative learning experiences by collaborating with academic departments, deans, faculty and others.
