UA Fraternity Offers Event to Raise Childhood Cancer Awareness

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama’s Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity will offer a fund-raiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the fraternity house off Jefferson Avenue on campus.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a charity aimed at combating childhood cancer.

The event, which is free, will feature the band Trotline. Licensed barbers will shave the heads of volunteers to help raise awareness about childhood cancer. Fraternity members will collect donations throughout the day.
