Creative Campus Student Interns Named at UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Creative Campus at The University of Alabama has selected 41 students to serve as interns for the 2011-2012 academic year.

A part of UA’s Office of Academic Affairs, Creative Campus serves as a hub of creative and innovative activity on campus. Creative Campus provides a collaborative system to connect students, faculty and community. The student intern program is a major component of Creative Campus, and this year’s interns were selected from more than 138 applicants.   

Since the start of the fall semester, the interns have been planning interactive projects including a return of the popular Quidditch on the Quad and the Druid City Arts Festival, as well as several new ideas. The interns are also engaged in a community arts project, Beauty Amid Destruction, and an Arts TV Show collaboration with WVUA and UA’s telecommunication and film department.
