Biochemistry Major Elected UA’S SGA President

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Grant Cochran, a junior from Leland, Miss., majoring in biochemistry, was elected president of The University of Alabama Student Government Association for the 2011-2012 term.

Some 9,213 votes were cast in the election that was held through online voting on March 8.

Cochran received 5,288 votes to defeat challenger Coresa Nancy Hogan, a junior majoring in accounting and fashion retailing from Birmingham.
