NACAS Mentor Award Goes to UA’s Caples

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Susan Caples, assistant director of transportation services at The University of Alabama, has received the Regional Mentor Award from the National Association of College Auxiliary Services.

“This award is a fitting tribute to Susan’s dedication to NACAS and to its members,” said Dr. Bob Hassmiller, NACAS CEO. Caples has been a longtime, active member of NACAS, serving the organization in several different capacities. She was given the honor in recognition of her dedication and service to NACAS on the regional and national level.

The award, presented in November at the organization’s annual conference, recognizes a member in each region who has shown initiative in welcoming newcomers and promoting/encouraging involvement of members at the regional and national level.

Established in 1969, NACAS is a nonprofit higher education association serving auxiliary services and student support services professionals at over 900 colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Ireland.
