AU, UA Students Team with National Initiative to Study Earth’s Interior

Despite their sometimes destructive consequences, can earthquakes actually be helpful events? The answer is a resounding “yes,” according to a team of two students and two professors from The University of Alabama and Auburn University.

Sharpe Named Dean of UA Honors College

Dr. Shane Sharpe has been named dean of the Honors College at The University of Alabama. Sharpe has been serving as interim dean of the college for the past year and as director of UA’s Computer-Based Honors Program since 2005.
