Moundville Archaeological Park wants to spark children’s interest in Native American culture with a new summer program…Betsy Irwin, the park’s educational outreach coordinator, said that since the park’s museum is closed for renovations, staff members began brainstorming new things to offer the public. “We wanted to focus on things we already had going on,” she said. The program they came up with, Saturday in the Park, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday in June…Each Saturday will a focus on a different aspect of Southeastern Native American culture.
