Home sales in state plunge again

Alabama continued to see double-digit declines in home sales in April, according to a University of Alabama report released Wednesday. The university’s Center for Real Estate Research reported that 3,129 homes sold in April, a 22 percent decline from the same month last year for single-family homes, town homes and condominiums. The previous two months showed similar declines, with a 19 percent drop in sales, year over year, in March, and a 30 percent drop in February compared with the same month last year.
