TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Jared Arambula, a freshman at The University of Alabama from Valparaiso, Ind., has been named to the 2009 USA 23-and-under National Wheelchair Basketball Team.

Arambula’s selection was the culmination of a three-day tryout camp at Birmingham’s Lakeshore Foundation and included 25 of the best players in the United States.

The team will compete at the Paralympic World Cup May 19-23 in Manchester, England. The team will also travel to Paris this summer to compete in the 2009 Junior World Championships July 7-9.

The freshman kinesiology major was also selected first-team All American earlier in the month at the collegiate championships in Whitewater, Wis.
