EVENTS, ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT

Crimson Tidings will be held Dec. 7 from 2–4 p.m. and 5–8 p.m. on Sorority Row and Fraternity Row. Come enjoy a self-guided tour of UA’s sorority and fraternity houses decorated for the holiday season. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for guests. All proceeds benefit each chapter’s chosen philanthropy. Click here for more information.

Performances of Hilaritas, an annual concert of holiday music, will be Friday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. in the Concert Hall of Moody Music Building. Tickets are $12 and $8 general admission, $6 and $4 for seniors, students and children. More information: 348-7111.

The Capstone Association of Black Journalists is hosting a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings on Dec. 3 all day. Stop by Reese Phifer and ask for a CABJ/Buffalo Wild Wings flier. Then, go by Buffalo Wild Wings and order your favorite food, and CABJ will get a portion of cost of whatever you order when you give them the flier. Fliers also are available at a table in the Ferguson Center. More information: Danielle Blevins.

Hannah Home Clothing Drive. UA’s chapter of Alpha Delta Chi Sorority is helping raise awareness for the Hannah Home clothing drive. Hannah Home, a shelter for abused women and children, is looking for gently used clothing, shoes, jackets, purses, accessories, books, and small appliances to give to women and children in need this holiday season. Anyone willing to donate can bring items and place them in the donation boxes set up in the Riverside North, Burke East fourth floor, and the University Student Recreation Center. Boxes will be in place until Dec. 14. More information: Danielle Knox.

Capstone International Coffee Hour. Capstone International Center invites you to Capstone International Coffee Hour, Friday, Dec. 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Due to construction in room 121, Coffee Hour will be held in 105 B.B. Comer Hall. Coffee Hour will be sponsored by the Counseling Center.

ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

Scholarship applications are now being accepted for adult students and students facilitating their degree through the College of Continuing Studies. The deadline for applications is Dec. 15. Applications can be found by clicking here. More information: Academic Outreach Student Services, 348-0089.

STUDENT AFFAIRS

Recontracting for Campus Housing. The online housing application for Fall 2009 is now available. Students living on campus who want to return to campus housing next fall must recontract before Feb. 1. Students who will leave in the spring for a co-op, internship or study abroad experience and want to return to campus housing must recontract in person with Housing and Residential Communities before they leave in December.
