STUDENT AFFAIRS

Weather sirens and Tide Text Alerts keep you informed of severe weather conditions. A test of area weather sirens is held the first Wednesday of each month at noon, weathering permitting. In the event of local severe weather the University places weather information online at http://uanews.ua.edu/severeweather.htm. Also, faculty, staff and students are encouraged to sign up for Tide Text Alerts, a free service sponsored by the UA Office of Student Media in cooperation with the University. Those who sign up receive text message updates delivered directly to their phones. In particular, they receive real-time alerts from UA’s Emergency Operations Group if severe weather or emergency situations happen on campus. To sign up, go to myBama and click on the Tide Text Alerts link.

Do you currently live off-campus? If so, Housing and Residential Communities invites you to complete the Off-Campus Student Survey to assist us in enhancing your off-campus living experience.

Donate your unused football tickets and win prizes! Those who donate will have a chance to win one of these great prizes: A-Day tickets in the Zone, a football autographed by Coach Nick Saban and UA bowl game tickets. If you are not going to the game, please do not let your ticket go to waste. Let your fellow students share the tradition.
