Miss UA Opens Legislative Session in Montgomery

Miss University of Alabama for 2008, Meri-Glenn Freeman (center) of Vestavia Hills, was recently invited to open a session of the Alabama House of Representatives in Montgomery. Speaker of the House Seth Hammett (left) and Rep. Greg Canfield (right) of District 48 are shown with Freeman. Following the opening session, Freeman was able to discuss her platform, “Target Tutoring” with legislators and State Superintendent of Schools Joe Morton.
