UA Education Professor Inducted as Fellow into American College of Sports Medicine

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Dr. Matt Green, associate professor of kinesiology in The University of Alabama’s College of Education, was recently inducted as a Fellow into the American College of Sports Medicine.

Green has spent his career conducting research on various aspects of exercise physiology including blood lactate, perceived exertion, thermoregulatory responses and ergogenic aids, while maintaining a major emphasis on student involvement in his research.

He has recently been published in the International Journal of Sports Medicine, Perceptual and Motor Skills, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, European Journal of Applied Physiology, Journal of Sports Sciences, and Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. He also recently presented his research at the National Strength and Conditioning Association Conference and the American College of Sports Medicine annual meeting.

The American College of Sports Medicine’s purpose is “to promote and integrate scientific research, education, and practical applications of sports medicine and exercise science to maintain and enhance physical performance, fitness, health, and quality of life.”
