TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Alabama Alumni Magazine, a publication of The University of Alabama’s National Alumni Association, recently received a platinum award in the MarCom Creative Awards for its spring 2006 issue.
The magazine was selected from more than 5,000 entries.
Last year, the publication received a gold award in the contest, but this is its first platinum placement, the competition’s top honor. Other winners in the magazine category include the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, Johns Hopkins University, Merrill Lynch, Los Alamos National Laboratory, the Public Relations Society of America, the University of Texas-Arlington and the University of Notre Dame.
MarCom is an international competition administered by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals. Judges look for “projects that showcase talent far exceeding a high standard of excellence and work that serves as a benchmark for the industry.”
