Alumni Can Share Family Traditions in UA Homecoming Contest

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama homecoming committee is sponsoring a new competition for alumni called “Tide and True: Tales of Family Traditions.”

Alumni who have unique, funny, or special ways to celebrate homecoming at the Capstone, can enter their stories in this competition and possibly win some great prizes.

Traditional fun for the whole family — ranging from lawn decorations to a parade and pep rally — is all part of the UA tradition of celebrating Homecoming Week, scheduled this year for Oct. 23-29 with the theme “Tide and True: A Family Tradition.”

Prizes include tickets to the homecoming game, dinner for two, hotel vouchers, a float in the parade, and tickets to special homecoming events.

To enter, e-mail your story to elephant@bama.ua.edu by Oct. 20. For more information contact Lauren Burch at burch016@bama.ua.edu.
