UA Students Participate in Co-op Jobs

The University of Alabama’s Cooperative Education Program is an academic program in which a student alternates periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. The program offers work experience to academic major or career interests of each student. It also enhances the student’s employment prospects after graduation.

The following University of Alabama students are participating in cooperative education positions:

  • Rachael Click of Huntsville is working for ADTRAN in Huntsville. Click, daughter of Terry and Kristin Click, is a graduate of Westminster Christian Academy. She is majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematics at UA.
  • Jordan Houston of Hoover is working for U.S. Steel Fairfield Works in Fairfield. Houston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Houston, is a graduate of Hoover High School. He is majoring in metallurgical engineering at UA.
  • Aundrea Lollar of Northport is working for Southern Co. in Birmingham. Lollar, daughter of Sherman and Sondra Lollar, is a graduate of Northside High School. She is majoring in chemical engineering with a computer-based honors minor in mathematics at UA.
  • Julie Morrison of Vernon is working for DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Morrison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Morrison, is a graduate of Lamar County High School. She is majoring in nursing at UA.
  • Clay Randolph of Tuscaloosa is working for Mercedes-Benz in Vance. Randolph, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Randolph, is a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School. He is majoring in mechanical engineering at UA.
  • Shannon Shorr of Birmingham (zip code 35210) is working for Harbert Construction in Birmingham. Shorr, son of Debbie Shorr, is a graduate of Shades Valley High School. He is majoring in chemical engineering with a minor in mathematics at UA.
  • Adam Sparks of Jasper is working for Weyerhaeuser in Pine Hill. Sparks, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Sparks, is a graduate of Walker High School. He is majoring in chemical engineering at UA.
  • Santita L. Tait of Lower Peach Tree is working for Shaw Industries Inc. in Dalton, Ga. Tait, daughter of Richard and Marvia Tait, is a graduate of Clarke County High School. She is an operations management major at UA.
  • LaKesha Turner of Sweet Water is working for DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Turner, daughter of Roy and Glenda Rodgers, is a graduate of Sweet Water High School. She is majoring in nursing at UA.
