Mooty Elected SGA President at UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Hal Mooty of Montgomery was elected president of The University of Alabama Student Government Association for the 2004-2005 term.

Some 4,428 UA students voted in the SGA election held Tuesday and Wednesday, March 9-10.

Other executive officers elected were:

  • Vice President for Academic Affairs – Christina Carden of Hanceville

There will be a run-off election for several Senate seats Tuesday, March 16, in the Ferguson Center. Student voters also passed amendments 3, 6, 7, 10 and 14. A two-thirds majority of votes is needed to pass an amendment.
