TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama and Shelton State Community College will sponsor the Tuscaloosa College Day at Coleman Coliseum on the UA campus and the Tuscaloosa Career Expo on the Shelton State Martin Campus on Monday, Sept. 29, from 8 a.m.-noon.
Representatives from the UA Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Shelton State Community College Dean of Students Office have worked together in conjunction with city and county school officials to schedule both events on the same day, thereby reducing transportation costs and missed class time for area students.
More than 2,500 area students from Tuscaloosa, Bibb, Greene, Hale and Pickens counties are expected to attend each event.
Approximately 50 colleges and 50 careers will be represented.
